Our Mission is Simple:
Save Lives, Spread Love
Spending time in Brazil made it impossible for me to look away from the overwhelming number of animals in need. What began as a personal mission quickly grew into PAWS OF HOPE Animal Rescue Brazil, a dedicated non-profit organization focused on rescuing and rehabilitating animals in Abadiânia.
For years, I helped privately, but as the need grew, so did the importance of becoming more organized. Today, I work alongside wonderful volunteers who share the same passion and goals. Together, we strive to give as many abandoned and neglected animals as possible a true second chance at life.
Our work covers every step of the journey—from emergency rescue to veterinary care, vaccinations, food, medications, sterilizations, and ultimately finding each animal a loving forever home. Every animal deserves safety, dignity, and the opportunity to experience love.
Dolly, my mascot, is at the heart of my story. Abandoned on the street, she found her way into my life at a time when I wasn’t even looking for a dog. Her transformation into a healthy, happy, and adventurous little companion embodies everything we stand for. She is living proof of what compassion—and a second chance—can do.

What We Do
Rescue & rehabilitation
We are dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitate abandoned animals in Brazil. Many of these vulnerable creatures are found in challenging circumstances, such as being sick, pregnant, or orphaned puppies who can't fend for themselves. Our mission is to provide them with the care and love they deserve, giving them a second chance at life. You can help us in making a difference for these deserving animals.
Vet care, vaccinations & sterilizations
It’s crucial to vaccinate animals to prevent the spread of serious illnesses. Additionally, sterilization plays a vital role in populations, providing females with a secure future free from the stress of future pregnancies. Together, these practices contribute to healthier communities for both animals and humans.
Emotional support and importance of love
Recognizing the importance of emotional issues of the animals is crucial. Since I was a child I always had a special connection with dogs and through this connection I can help and support the animals to feel safe and gain trust in people, so they can feel wanted and loved again. Animals give unconditional love and help us open our hearts and access capacities in ourselves we didn't even know we had. It is in truth amazing to follow the transformation of a dog, and so rewarding when seeing a dogs life totally changed for better.
Re-Homing
We facilitate the adoption process, matching pets with families who are ready to offer them a permanent and safe environment filled with love. I run an adoptioncenter together with another dedicated volunteer, which is located in front of a big restaurant Route60. The owner allows us to be there and this place has a big flow of people passing. These conditions ensure us to meet potential adopters with resources and understanding of what it implies to adopt a pet.
